About the event
Samantha is the Food Systems and Safety Agent for Lexington, Calhoun, and Orangeburg counties. She graduated from USC Aiken with a Bachelor’s in Biology, and before working for Extension, she was part of the SC Department of Agriculture’s Food and Feed Safety Department. As the Food Systems and Safety Agent, she educates the public primarily in consumer food safety, including teaching courses such as ServSafe, home food preservation, and safe food handling practices. Samantha is also a subject matter expert on food manufacturing safety and regulations in South Carolina.
